Travellers bound for Yalen often encounter Mountain Bandits before reaching the city.
Besieging Yalen requires the construction of a single ladder.
Troops must cross a shallow moat before being able to climb the ladder. This makes the offending army more vulnerable to deadly Rhodok Crossbowmen. However, the player's spawn will be equipped with several archer screens that provide great cover. A talented player with a good bow should be able to pick off quite a few enemy archers with little risk to themselves.
Additionally, the enemy spawn is positioned so that the player is often able to fire at the enemy over the heads of their allies. If the enemy has many units who are not using their shields, the player can kill large amounts of enemies by themselves.
