Lezalit Head

Ymira, Bunduk, Borcha as emissary, fleeing battle

Lezalit is one of the heroes available in Calradia. He is a noble, the second son of a count in Geroia and came to Calradia to make his fortune.

His starting equipment is not great, but he does have high skills in Power Strike, making him a useful melee warrior (mounted or infantry). A crossbow would be a good ranged option if you keep him as infantry as it does not require spending extra points in Power Draw. Lezalit should have his intelligence boosted to increase his already-high Trainer skill.

He spent a winter in Ismirala Castle as a drill instructor but was quickly removed as his brutal training regimes were at odds with the opinion of the local lord. He has a low opinion of Vaegir military discipline. When you find him he offers his services (for a starting fee of 400 denars) to join your company and to train your soldiers. He also has a reasonably high starting training skill level, which can make him useful for low-level characters or to those who wish to avoid spending points in this area.

Lezalit is quite fond of Artimenner as while he considers the engineer to not be as fast or strong as other soldiers, he does his best and appreciates the difficulties of command. He has constant arguments with Ymira and Bunduk, however, and may leave the party because of this. Ymira will disagree with his use of flogging and occasional nooses to maintain order, which he dislikes as she does so in front of the troops. In Bunduk's case, the Rhodok happily tells him to get stuffed when he is giving orders and Lezalit considers him undisciplined as a result. He will "give you his support" if your army runs out of food, or if you constantly engage in battles in which your soldiers are mercilessly slaughtered.

If elevated to lordship, Lezalit enjoys claiming fiefs for himself and will take a massive reputation loss when he or his closest friends don't get one. This can make him a difficult lord to manage as a monarch.

This is Lezalit's idea of an army, and this strategy is effective.

Lezalit has a great war strategy in using the troops from all factions. It has been tried and tested and it works. Unfortunately, he does not build his army based on this strategy if given a fief. He instead simply recruits whatever troops are available in his lands. He does, however, use it as an idea to bolster your Right to rule: not only does he believe the player should rule Calradia, but one day expand beyond to reclaim other areas that the ancient empire once claimed.
