They are equipped with pistols or carbine, but their firearm skills are worse than Cossack mounted shooters.
Like many Swedish units, Cuirassiers are far more effective troops when fighting hand to hand rather than at a distance. Cuirassiers have strong resemblance to real Swedish reiters of the time and should use the same tactics. They used to approach the enemy line, discharge their pistols and then charge with swords in hand.
When enemy units disperse on the battlefield, Cuirrasiers should not chase them - that's dragoons job, unless the commander is sure that no more reinforcements will join the battle.
